The two disciples recounted what had taken place on the way, and how Jesus was made known to them in the breaking of bread.

- Luke 24:35

April 19

Brothers and sisters, I miss you! I am happy that we were at least able to be together in spirit……and in the Holy Spirit during the Triduum. We can do the same on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and Sundays, during the Easter season or until we are able to gather again physically. May you experience the new life of the risen Lord! Here and now! We can live the life that is eternal now! That is the good news of Easter! We have heard the Easter story, how many times? The story never changes! But the story should change us……to take away our fear,… give us hope,… give us joy! Jesus is alive and present to us! While we keep a safe distance from one another, God is never distant from us! God has made no promises about the return of our economy. God has made no promises about the outcomes of this COVID-19 pandemic. But in the resurrection of Jesus God has promised us a love that is stronger than death …… a love that we can place our trust in! May the joy and the hope of the risen Lord be with you throughout this Easter season!
